In the men’s competition the brother’s Lorenzo Casati (ESP) and Leonardo Casati (ITA) as well as Jeremy Burlando (NED) and Stino Mul (NED) make it into the final. But the lead starts to switch between the riders as the final heat hammered on, until Maini jumps to a slim lead of less than a point. Only one jump remains for Hoogenraad, as she pops an outrageous 9.53-point Kite-loop Forward-roll, also known as a “double boogie loop”, a first ever successfully landed in women’s Big Air competition. She launches into the first place by just over a point, securing both the event win and becoming the Qatar Airways GKA Big Air Twin-tip Kite Women’s World Champion 2024. Maini winds up second, Herman third, while Ruggiu is close behind in fourth.
