Germany’s Alexander Zverevwins the fourth edition of the Red Bull Bassline tournament in Vienna by best adapting to the entertaining tiebreak format and successfully defends his title from last year.
Zverev and the strong Australian Alexei Popyrin came out on top in their respective groups of three and went on to play each other in the final. In the thrilling match, which was played in a best-of-three format, Zverev again sent the crowd into raptures with incredible shots. He had to fend off four match points against the resilient Popyrin but, with his powerful serves, eventually prevailed 2-1 in sets.
