LAAX OPEN 2026 || FIS World Cup || Romain Allemand (FRA) & Kokomo Murase (JPN) win Snowboard Slopestyle titles

LAAX OPEN, Europe’s most prestigious freestyle contest takes place this weekend in Switzerland. As every four years, it is the last chance to qualify for the Olympic Games. 250 athletes competing in the disciplines Freeski Slopestyle, Snowboard Slopestyle and Snowboard Halfpipe. On today’s Sunday the Slopestyle Snowboard discipline took place. The French Romain Allemand nailed his first of two runs and claimed his first ever World Cup victory. In the women’s 21-years old Japanese Kokomo Murase shut down the LAAX OPEN 2026 with a stylish run securing her the title.

Men’s Snowboard Slopestyle
In bright winter conditions at Crap Sogn Gion, 19-year-old Romain Allemand (FRA) claimed his first LAAX OPEN title and made history as the first French rider to win a FIS Snowboard Slopestyle World Cup. He impressed judges with progressive and technically demanding tricks, including a back double 1080 pullback to 900 melon. Japan’s Yuto Kimura finished second, while Olympic champion Su Yiming (CHN) secured third place. From a Swiss perspective, Jonas Hasler delivered a strong performance in sixth place, earning his Olympic qualification .

Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle
Kokomo Murase (JPN) won the women’s Snowboard Slopestyle competition, celebrating her first victory at the LAAX OPEN. She stood out with a stylish frontside double cork 900 truckdriver. Lily Dhawornvej (USA) finished second, and Olympic champion Anna Gasser (AUT) completed the podium in third place .
