Expanded World Skate Development Scholarships Announcement

Expanded World Skate Development Scholarships Announcement

World Skate are once again delighted to announce three new parallel initiatives which form part of our 2025-2028 Development Strategy.

As you might well already be aware, we began identifying both skateboarders and coaches who could benefit from support during the last Olympic cycle courtesy of two Olympic Solidarity-backed schemes known as the YAD* and WISH** programmes respectively.
Our mega news is that both are now open for applications in this new Olympic cycle- and are being rolled into an expanded, over-arching Development Scholarship Programme which will take in not only athletes and coaches but judges also, going forward to LA 2028!
While preference will be given to applicants coming from Universality eligible NOC’s (see below list), consideration will also be given to those applicants coming from countries and continents generally under-represented in the Olympic skateboarding domain.

Every successful applicant will receive:

3-year period of candidature (June 2025-28)
Immersive training stays/camps
Select competition cost off-sets and performance support
Area-specific mentors
Regular online network collaborations
Relevant vocational modules/courses

Does that sound like you?
Are you a member of the World Skate community seeking to progress and develop in your chosen role either as competitor, coach or judge?

If you believe that you’ve got the ambition and ability to represent your country at the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) and/or the Olympic Games (OG) as either an Athlete, Coach or Judge please complete the following form by Sunday 23rd March.
