CMAS 14th World Championship Freediving Indoor

The vibrant city of Belgrade, Serbia, is set to host the prestigious 14th CMAS World Championship Freediving Indoor from July 4 to July 10, 2024.
This highly anticipated event will not only feature world-class freedivers but also serve as a crucial qualification platform for The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China.
With the world’s top freedivers in attendance, the championship promises thrilling competitions and the opportunity to witness numerous record-breaking performances.
Renowned athletes such as Guillaume Bourdila, Mateusz Malina, Goran Čolak, Aleksey Molchanov, Branko Petrovic will showcase their exceptional skills, pushing the limits of human endurance and breath-holding capacity.
Among the elite women competitors, Livia Bregonzio, Mirela Kardašević, Magdalena Solich-Talanda, Kateryna Sadurska are expected to deliver stunning performances, demonstrating grace, power, and unparalleled discipline in the sport of freediving.
The event, sanctioned by the Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques (CMAS), highlights Belgrade’s role as a premier destination for international sports events.
Serbia’s capital city, known for its rich history, cultural diversity, and dynamic energy, is prepared to welcome athletes and spectators from around the globe.
“We are thrilled to host the 14th CMAS World Championship Freediving Indoor in Belgrade. This event not only underscores the city’s commitment to promoting aquatic sports but also provides a unique opportunity for athletes to qualify for The World Games 2025 in Chengdu,” said Anna Arzhanova, President of CMAS.

The championship will feature a variety of freediving disciplines, including static apnea, dynamic apnea with fins, dynamic apnea without fins, and dynamic apnea with bi-fins.
Speed apnea disciplines also will give a bright colour at this glorious event.
This prestigious event will witness more than 240 elite athletes representing 44 countries, showcasing their exceptional skills and competing for top honors in the sport of freediving.
Spectators can expect an exhilarating week of competition, filled with intense moments and awe-inspiring achievements.
The championship also provides a platform for freediving enthusiasts and the general public to learn more about the sport, its techniques, and its amazing achievements.
