BDTSK8 2026 turns 15: the World Rookie Tour lands in the New Chemnitz Skatehalle

The World Rookie Tour heads back to Germany, and it does it in style. From August 21st to 23rd, 2026, Chemnitz becomes the hub of the international skateboarding scene as BDTSK8 celebrates its 15th anniversary with three days of skateboarding, contests, open sessions and pure community energy.

Three milestones collide in one weekend: fifteen years of BDTSK8, another season as the official German stop of the World Rookie Tour, and the very first edition inside the brand-new Skatehalle Chemnitz.

The festival moves into the Druckbude Skatehalle Chemnitz, inside the historic Schönherrfabrik, opened this past spring. With its modern park, bowl and street features, the hall already ranks among the most exciting indoor setups in Germany.

For BDTSK8 it’s a special honour to host one of the first major events in the new venue and to open a new chapter in the event’s history.

• Friday, August 21st — Doors open at 16:00 for the Miniramp Session in the hall’s garden and the traditional warm-up.
• Saturday, August 22nd — Open Skate and the World Rookie Tour Street contest, AM & Pro, followed by the After-Skate Party.
• Sunday, August 23rd — Open Skate and the World Rookie Tour Bowl contest, AM & Pro, closing with the Cash4Tricks session — for the first time ever a street and bowl mix.

Registration opens daily at 10:00, contest formats start at 12:00.
Kids, Girls, Rookies and Pros all get their shot, from first-timers to seasoned riders.

Entries are open online at bringdatruckaz.com, where riders pick their category directly: KIDS, GIRLS, WRT2026, ROOKIES or PRO.

On-site registration is also possible on each event day from 10:00.

Two WRT contests, one weekend: Street on Saturday, Bowl on Sunday, both Groms & Rookies. But BDTSK8 has always been about more than the runs: the hall stays open to everyone between the competitions, so even riders without a start number can bring their board and skate with the community.

The top three in the World Rookie Tour categories earn an invitation to the World Rookie Skateboard Finals in Celje, Slovenia, on September 25th–27th, 2026, where the World Rookie Champion title is decided.

Every run also counts toward the World Rookie Rank.
